KSG represents consumers who have been victimized by unfair and deceptive business practices, including false advertising, breach of warranty, false labeling of food products, sales of defective goods, predatory lending, and other violations of consumer rights. We believe the class action device is an essential weapon against consumer fraud, because in most cases the damages incurred by a single consumer make it impractical to sue the offending business, which will avoid liability and not be deterred from engaging in unfair business practices in the future. While an individual lawsuit can effectively punish a business for cheating $1 million out of one person, it cannot prevent a business from cheating 10,000 persons out of $100.
