Human Rights Cases

spacer

KSG has been a pioneer in developing jurisprudence to allow human rights victims to receive compensation. In 1986, Robert Swift brought the first class action human rights case against Ferdinand Marcos alleging the torture, summary executions and disappearance of almost 10,000 Filipinos. The litigation resulted in a $2 billion judgment. KSG brought numerous cases against Swiss, German and Austrian companies for complicity in financial abuses against Holocaust victims. Robert Swift was a principal negotiator in settlement of Holocaust cases totaling $7.5 billion. KSG has also represented human rights victims in South Korea and Ecuador. KSG is currently prosecuting several actions involving terrorism against American citizens in Israel.
